Christmas Season and Its Essence

Christmas Season, at its core, is a  vibrant tapestry woven with threads of joy, tradition, reflection and the overall preparation of the birth date of our Lord Savior, Jesus Christ. It's a period where people around  the world come in union to embrace a spirit of generosity and togetherness. While commercial aspects have grown, the essence of Christmas remains rooted in ancient customs and the profound story of hope and renewal. Families gather, homes are adorned with twinkling lights and evergreen boughs, and the aroma of festive baking fills the air, creating a sensory experience unique to this special time of year.

Aside from the festive decorations and gift-giving, Christmas serves as a powerful reminder of compassion and goodwill. Many engage in charitable acts, extending kindness to those less fortunate, embodying the spirit of altruism that lies at the heart of the celebration. It's a period for appreciating loved ones, and for finding peace amidst the sometimes-chaotic rhythm of modern life. The shared meals, the carols sung, and the stories recounted by the fireplace all contribute to a feeling of warmth and belonging that strengthens community bonds.

For my Christmas experience, this season i had a blast having thoughts of what Christmas decorations would my mom put up what will be the decoration of our Christmas tree, the gifts that will be given to us, and the feast on December 25. At Christmas evening, I spent my time helping my mother and lola preparing for our Nuche Buena and at 9 PM, we went to church to attend our "Midnight Mass", marking the start of Christmas by commemorating Jesus's Bbirth a special liturgy. After that, we went home to wait for the countdown for Christmas. In the morning of Christmas, December 25, we had a family gathering to my other lola's house, which I had alot of fun because of the chit-chats our relatives and the gift-giving moments.
